Near my house: a diner

At the diner near my house, where I can get a huge bowl of "Ngau Jap Hou Faahn" - Beef cuts (?) Rice Noodle for $2 CDN, I am a regular. The chef and his family run the place, he is among the consistently happiest men I've met. Sometimes when I come by at dinner time his daughters are there and we do a language exchange, though the girls' English is much better than my Cantonese and even his English. They are the cutest thing, and I do Origami with them and play Simon Says and play word games. In one of the photos you can see the Daap Baai Dong (Chinese diner) in the background. Across the street Apple works there (I've mentioned her before in my blog). Along this street are 3 mini-buses, two of which bring me to a Subway station (MTR) for 64 cents CDN. They come every 5 minutes too, and for an extra 25 cents you get a back rub and all-you-can-drink tequila shooters.
I'm joking.
They come every 7-8 minutes.
